How to Make Your Fragrance Last

I get this question or concern often. "How do I get my fragrance to last all day?" "I'm looking for a scent that will not fade away."

Here is some helpful info to remember. In short, everyone's body chemistry is different. Our diet and lifestyle have an effect on whats coming out of our skin and the ph level of our skin. All of us sweat differently and produce our own unique hormonal scent called pheromones. Because of this, whatever scent you love out of the bottle will wear different on your best friend than it does on you.

Also, there is a difference between Perfume, Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, and Cologne and Fragrance Mist/Spritz. The difference is the concentration of oil in each. (I have them listed from most to least) That being said, pay attention to what you purchase. A Perfume will be highly concentrated where you will only need a dab or two. Whereas a Mist can be sprayed liberally.

Here are Some Tips to Make Your Fave Fragrance Last Longer

1. Start with clean, moisturized skin. I would use a lotion or cream that has some oil content. Oil gives your fragrance something to bond to. And freshly showered skin absorbs the moisture better which will intensify your fragrance.

2. Layer. If you have the deodorant, body wash or bubble bath and the lotion or cream, Use Them! Layering adds that extra dimension to the scent you love.

3. Apply your fragrance to pulse points or warm spots. Meaning in the places you generally can take your pulse at. Inner wrists, behind the knees, base or throat are good spots.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....

Generally, we wont smell ourselves as the day goes on. It's human nature. We get used to the scent or the scent evolves on us and we feel like we don't smell like anything. But remember others likely still can smell you. So be polite and courteous to others and don't overdo it.
